Topic:Education and Research in Virtual Environments
Education take place in Second Life can provide students with many subjects such as Language Study, Machinima , ... and benefits as well such as online teaching and study, real estate practice...

When i first came to info island . The building and everything make me think about it as a park at first sight. And around me there were some guys flying, chatting, walking around , i guess they practicing how to interact in the Second Life for the first time.
The first place I go is Sci-Fi fantasy portal .I think it looks like an outdoor movie theater .There some portal next to big poster of the movie and when you click it , it will show you the summary of the movie.
I also visited Chakren Forest. It looks like the combination of forest and a park .There are benches. chairs, big statue…even a fountain. But it is beautiful.

The second place I go is Stonewall learning center. This time the stone wall shows information about gay history. It show many interesting information about what gay society had been through.
The next place I went is peace park religious resources .In here there many chapels of different religious likes Christian, Buddhism…
The ICT Library is the last place I went to visit. This look pretty big and inside there is many information portals ready to click and read. My friend had to leave for the nex class so i took my photo alone.

I also visited Beckenbach. It looks like a fashion outlet to me, where you can buy clothes, shoes…. Inside it is pretty dark. 
I went to Thmiskyra in the morning and everything looks fascinating there. The building, the trees, everything were well constructed. It was constructed by Surina Skallagrimson. There are many houses with different style here like European, Chinese and they even have a sakura tree.

Let Me Introduce my Second Self.
In Second Life, I think one of the most interesting parts of the game is to create your character. It is all up to you to choose the way your character look and appearance: tall, fat, hair style, eye color… You can make yourself the way it is in real life or different is up to you. I want to create a new me in Second Life so he look pretty much like me with black short hair , long face ,dark eyes, thin (actually I look thinner) with t-shirt and jean pant. I think it his appearances pretty much like me except he does not have a heavy coat like the one I am wearing right now.
The first time I got in Second Life, there was a bunch of my face around me. So I decided to make my character unique by making his look the same as me. It was not so hard to make him look like me but there are many parts you need to modify if you wish to have a decent one. It actually took me sometime to create second “me” but I think it worth it. I am now unique and the chance to run into my “twin” is close to impossible. I am now completely happy with the way I look .It is a new me in a new life.
New chances and future are waiting ahead in Second Life. So far, I did not call Second Life a game because everything just too real to be a game. It is not about the graphic, what I want to talk about here is the way people interact with each other in Second Life. They can voice chat or text chat, go to club, talk show, buy houses, even having sex …. You can do everything you can in real life in this virtual society, sometimes even more like flying, or teleport. This is like you are living in a realistic dream in the person you can create the way you want and in the dream you choose.
This is not the first time I have used some kind of virtual societies on the internet (including some online games), but I was surprised when I first interacted with Second Life. Everything is so realistic, just like its name Second life. You really can get your second life here on the internet beside the real one you are living in. It sound a little bit crazy if you have not gotten chance to contact with Second life .But once you already got into it, you will understand.
